🔴 HAPPENING NOW — IRAN LAUNCHES BIGGEST ATTACK YET

Iran has launched what it is calling its "most intense operation since the beginning of the war," firing some of its most advanced ballistic missiles toward Tel Aviv and Haifa.  This is a major escalation happening as of this morning.

Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued his first public message via state TV — he didn't appear in person, and a woman read it aloud. It declared that "the key is to overcome our enemy" and justified attacking neighboring countries for cooperating with the US.

💥 TODAY'S KEY STRIKES

Multiple explosions are being reported across Tehran and other Iranian cities as US-Israeli attacks continue. Iraq has shut down oil port operations after deadly attacks on two foreign oil tankers. Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia are all intercepting fresh waves of Iranian missiles and drones.

Iran also struck a Liberia-flagged vessel and a Thai bulk carrier in the Strait of Hormuz after the ships ignored warnings to stop.

Iranian President Pezeshkian has also laid out three conditions for peace: recognition of Tehran's rights, war reparations, and guarantees against future aggression.

📊 IS THE US WINNING?

It's complicated — both sides can claim wins:

US/Israel side: The IDF says two-thirds of Iran's ballistic missile launchers have been neutralized and about 80% of Iran's air defense systems have been destroyed. Over 110 drones have been intercepted. "We've been able to neutralize hundreds of missile launchers and create a real bottleneck," an IDF spokesperson said.

Iran's side: Analysts note that "the math just isn't in the US's favor" — for every Iranian Shahed drone costing ~$50,000, the US must fire PATRIOT interceptors worth $4 million or THAAD missiles worth $12 million each. Iran is essentially bleeding the US economically. Iranian attacks have also caused damage to at least 17 US sites across the Middle East.

The US Energy Secretary also admitted the US Navy is "not ready" to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz — potentially by end of March at the earliest.

🔮 WHAT TO EXPECT TOMORROW

Iran's biggest missile barrage yet today signals tomorrow will be intense. Three things to watch:

  1. Israel's counter-response — a retaliatory "large-scale" Israeli strike on Iran is almost certain after today's attack on Tel Aviv and Haifa.

  2. The Strait of Hormuz — with the US unable to escort ships yet, more tanker attacks are likely. Oil is already back over $100/barrel.

  3. Diplomacy or escalation? — Iran has now set formal peace conditions for the first time , but with both sides escalating simultaneously, talks remain distant.

Bottom line: The US has superior firepower and has significantly degraded Iran's military. But Iran is still standing, still striking, and is making the war economically painful for everyone. Neither side has "won" — yet.
